an individual holiday house was proposed on the top of the hill above the Argolic bay and the lush valley, of the historic area of the ancient Asini.
the proposal exploits the breath-taking view to the sea and the surrounding natural environment, both from the outdoor area and the interior space, by framing selected views.
the tremendous slope of the plot, along with the preservation of the majority of the existing olive trees, allows privacy to the building, without blocking their views.
our design effort was to reconciled the building with its environment and to enhance the traditional ways of built, by using natural materials, such us, wall masonry made of stones (partly exposed and partly plastered), rough wood and stone slates as well as a planted roof.
